Check-up & Clean

Check-Up & Clean

YOUR TRUST IS OUR MAIN INSPIRATION

Preventive care is one of the most important aspects of dental health, If you had a check up and clean done more than 6 months, call us and make an appointment. We wish to make sure that the

overall health of your teeth and mouth stay in good condition, preventive decay and gum problems.

Your Appointment for Check up and Clean involves;

  1. Comprehensive Dental Check up

Our dentists perform a comprehensive check up of your teeth, gums, tongue and other soft tissues in your mouth. Our oral examinations allow us to obtain a complete understanding of your dental health and general health, so we can establish a personalised plan to manage your immediate and future oral care needs, and achieve your dental health goals. We also use

intraoral cameras and sometimes digital scans to better diagnose and explain the conditions you may have. We will review any relevant findings about your teeth and gums with you and discuss in detail if you need any further treatments, cost and time involved and will provide all the available

treatment options, so you are suitably informed.

  1. Thorough Dental Scale and Clean

We will perform a dental scale and clean to remove any plaque or tartar build up off your teeth and help improve gum health. We will also provide a fluoride treatment to help strengthen your enamel, and polish your teeth to remove stains. Once completed your teeth will feel clean and smooth.

  1. Checking for Oral Cancer

It is important we check for oral cancer as early detection provides you the best chance of an early treatment and cure.

  1. Dental Xrays, If required X-rays allow us to check for any potential damage inside or between

teeth that is not visible in an external examination. This also allows us to check the health of the tooth roots and jaw bone.

Please, discuss your concerns and expectations with the dentist and we promise to hear you out.

When is my next examination?

Oral examinations are generally recommended every six months, however this can differ for each individual depending

Frequently Asked Questions

How often should I have a dental check-up and clean?

Most patients should visit the dentist every six months for a routine check-up and professional clean. However, your dentist may recommend more frequent visits if you have gum disease, a history of dental problems, or other oral health concerns.

What happens during a dental check-up and clean?

During your appointment, the dentist will examine your teeth, gums, and overall oral health, checking for issues such as cavities, gum disease, and signs of oral cancer. A professional clean removes plaque and tartar buildup, followed by polishing to help keep your teeth looking and feeling fresh.

Is a dental check-up and clean painful?

A routine check-up and clean is generally comfortable and painless. If you have sensitive teeth, inflamed gums, or significant tartar buildup, you may experience mild discomfort. Your dental team will ensure the treatment is as gentle and comfortable as possible.
